Pros:
Nice Baskets - Great signage - Easy to navigate
Trash cans on many holes - Seating on almost every hole (maybe every hole, thought there was one or two without)
Scorecards available
Nice and clean - Cool campground setting
Lots of birdies to grab on front side
Back side layout tests distance and placement
Cons:
Gravel/Dirt tee boxes (going to have some divots here)
Stumps and natural debris in fairways
A few borderline unfair lines to basket.
Other Thoughts:
The front nine of this course is all short par 3s. These are the holes to grab your birdies and put yourself in a nice position for the back side. The back side plays much longer and the opportunities to score and attack the course are limited.
It would be nice to have more of a blend of these holes through out the course, but I can understand having a short layout like this to accommodate the summer camp. Most of the lines from the tee are clean and fair, and fairway approaches are pretty much the same, just a few instances (4?, 18) where it gets a little funky.
The walk to 10, although it is a little spaced out, is beautiful as you cross the bridge and get a great view of the lake (or pond, it's a big pond).
The $5 fee isn't too bad if you'er going to play more than one round. I definitely enjoyed my round here, and will come back again.
