Pros:

It has a wide variety and can challenge you. If the short tees aren't enough distance for you, the long tees have some very challenging holes. Want some water danger? 2 holes offer you the chance to sacrifice to the lady of the lake. Need some downhill bomb shots that are still interesting? 7 and 12 are here for you. Wooded technical so you can show off your fine lines? 11 and 17 await.

Easy to navigate, Good signs, good tees. A very active local club that will welcome you if you happen to meet any of them on the course.

Cons:

Still a newer course. The grass fairways are sometimes too high on the front nine. If you're roller happy, you'll be unhappy on those holes. The wind can sometimes add a heavy hand. I suppose that happens everywhere, but when it gets to 10mph or more, the lake shots become pretty rough.

Other Thoughts:

The grand opening tourney had a 1007 rated pro show up and only bag -2 from the rec tees and -2 from the gold tees. It's a quality course that isn't a birdie fest. Not a lot of ace runs if that's your thing.

Ready to GO! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Sep 30, 2015 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Big Arms will love this course. The risk/reward factor is great. Even the open holes have very strategic guardian trees on the majority of holes making your second shot exceptionally important. The more I play it the more varied my game and shots have become. This course has everthing from wide open rollers, flicks sidearm approaches this course has it all. These par threes play long which is nice for a change.Only a few easy three"s here. This course plays Very technical for RHBH Players , but for lefty's or Right Side-arms its awesome.

Cons:

Kinda LONG for kids and casuals. Most will find this course difficult because of very long beginner tees IMO. Once it is Seasoned, It should be among the best in Tennessee. The use of woods is very nice and well thought out. Truly only 11 and 17 are tight woods. The rest of the holes play into or out of small stands of mature trees giving this course a nice Luck Factor that most courses lack. Most holes are Windy, which IMO elevates this course's difficulty.

Other Thoughts:

Hole 1 - Straight off hill and open .Sweet hole to start a birdie run.
Hole 2 - RHBH dream. Long Sweeping left . Stay out of those trees. Great basket placement. Huge guardians Protecting basket.
Hole 3 - Interesting and very hard considering middle of fairway peppered with huge trees. The description says water on this hole but there is only a dry ditch behind basket so grip em and rip em on this hole.
Holes 4,5,6,7 I am going to group together. Not because they play the same, but because they are located on a hillside and oak grove. They play up,down,up,down respectively. These holes are great birdie holes. Surprisingly difficult if you chose too play from the BIG tees.
Hole 8- Similar to #2 but longer and straighter tee shot required. The approach on this hole can be crazy. Plays long IMO.
Hole 9- Crazy up-hill that rewards perfect tees shots, But watch out for the "branch" guarding the basket from any "eagles".
...The course is getting a lot of attention from the maintenance crew and is looking great. Lake is down a bit so Easier to see that occasional errant shot on 13 and 14. These Two holes should be considered Dickson's signature holes. The risk /reward factor on these two holes has me always playing an aggressive shot that borders on stupidity. Bring Extra discs because you know you WANT that birdie.

Amazing Course- Varied Difficulty 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 16, 2015 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

-Varied Elevation and difficulty hole to hole.

-Front 9 and Back 9 play like two completely different courses.

-Pro and AM Tee pads.

-Perfectly level Mach3 baskets.

- Perfectly level teepads with great signage at each pad!

-Multiple bathrooms/water fountains. Have a few covered picnic table areas.

-In a really nice location, easy to get to.

-Beautiful course.

Cons:

-Hard to find out where course begins. I think this is mostly because it's new. You need to go past the Buckner Pool/Ball Field entrance to the next left. It's going to be near the white water tower and nature trail.

-Front 9 has lots of rough. It just needs to be continually brush hogged down. Again, this is a new course though!

Other Thoughts:

Like others mentioned, this course will surely turn into one of the better courses in the state. It's got a load of potential. I'm already a huge fan.

Pro Level Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 20, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Both Pro and Rec tees are challenging. Even the Recs have true par4's.
- Unbelievable diversity of shots (open, tight, uphill, downhill)
- Some iconic holes. The 2 water holes are beautiful and challenging.

Cons:

Course is not yet finished and may have too much risk on open waters holes for casual players

Other Thoughts:

I think this is worth the trip to Dickson assuming the course keeps evolving.
