Pros:
-Great long concrete tee pads
-Nice new Prodigy baskets
-Benches at every hole
-Disc golf dedicated site, no pedestrians to worry about
-Facilities at the huge parking lot
-Low rough, so easy to find errant discs.
-Zen: very cool and calm place to play on a fall afternoon.
-A few holes have altitude changes.
Cons:
-The signs at each hole are not complete: just sharpie with hole # and distance. The signs on the 18 hole are fine, so I imagine this will improve.
-Lack of trees on most holes-there are a couple with mature trees in the vicinity. Give it time
Other Thoughts:
I had intended to use this as a warmup to the 18 hole. However I was yanking shots like crazy, ending up in the very easy rough a few times.
Overall, anyone who has played a fair amount of disc golf would likely come in under par here. The holes aren't long, and the fairways are pretty wide open. There are some new trees that might present a challenge in the future, but are not an issue now.
One aspect that might impact scores is wind. This is highland in a windy area.
Overall a fun play. I had the whole complex to myself, and proceeded to the 18 holer, which kicked my butt. Next time I'll play the 18 first, then use this course to rebuild self-esteem.
