All 18 pads, baskets, and signs are in good shape. The somewhat narrow and oddly bending fairways are mowed. The rough is quite rough so throw true or use a spotter! There is still a large tree leaning diagonally across 14’s fairway, but otherwise the course throws fine.
Fun, challenging and mostly wooded. Old trees, big pines, fish pond, rock cliffs, small hill and two meadows with lots of wildlife. Swimming beach, marina, camping, bird watching, nature trails, camp store, bike rental and glacial grooves on site.
6/3/23: Hole #11 is not like the photo here; the tee pad angle brings the park road dangerously into play.
OH 269 north of OH 2 between Sandusky and Port Clinton, on Lake Erie. Follow signs to park. Right into park, 1st left to parking lot by Lockwood Shelter. Info sign, practice basket and 1st tee at far end of lot.
