Pros:

Four Seasons is a small park nestled in a residential area of Kalida , Ohio . They have installed a 9 hole disc golf course recently . There is adequate parking here . I did not see a bathroom in this park . The course starts on the right side of the driveway as you pull in .
The Equipment . The signage was adequate , giving hole# , par & distance . . The tee pads were weird . Some of them , like #1 , were long and wide enough to easily park a Harley 750 on , and some were 2 1/2 ' X 5' . I guess I could have a grill-out on one of them and feed my cat on the other . The baskets, though , were nice yellow banded Discatchers .
The Landscape : The course was mowed and well taken care of when I was there . The park looks fairly new . the park is flat , except for a small ridge right in the middle of the park that is not real long . It comes into play on a couple of the holes . It is a park style course , but has a lot of trees in it . The grounds that the course is on is only about 800' X 800' total . The area inside also houses a couple of nice shelters , a maintenance barn and the parking lot .
The Highlights . No highlights here . The course plays tight and requires some precision midrange and putter throws to get through the tight fairways . My Highlight ? A giant Eagle carving sits on the left of hole #4 in the middle of the park . It looked pretty cool .
Disc Risk : Almost zero , unless you catch it high up in a tree . This park is very clean and overgrowth free . .
The Time : It took me about 20 minutes to play this course . If a group of 4 ever came here , it would take them maybe 40 minutes .
The course is flat and fast and a nice intro to the game .

Cons:

#1 Safety . These 9 holes were really stuffed in here , and it takes up most of the park . There are picnic tables , and shelters , where kids could come into play with your drives . You might be looking at your feet falling off some of the small tees instead of the fairway . Be careful . Fairways , like 3 & 4 , and 6 & 7 are right next to each other . A slightly off center drive could be a noggin' knocker for another player on a busy day .
#2 Navigation . Print the online map . hole 2-3 , you turn left at the 2 basket or you accidently throw 5 . 6-7 : 7 is on the left fairway of 6 .

Other Thoughts:

I am not sure that I have ever seen a 9 hole course go into such a small area like this before , but I guess the residents asked for it . I saw what looked like a mother and her teenage son playing and another couple of people getting ready to play as I was leaving , so this course must be getting some play . The shelter is a nice place to chill after a round or 2 . Bring a sandwich and relax . It is a small park , but it is a nice one .
My Recommendation : This is a great course to introduce disc golf to the curious . It is also great for newbies or locals to refine their technical game . It is also good for them to grab their first ace(s) here . If I lived here with a family , this would be a perfect place to go after dinner for some bonding time . For everyone better than that , this might just be ace runs . This is only good for the traveler if he is in the kalida area . The Course Collector ? Not a lot of things to combine it with out here , but it is a fast and easy pickup of a course .
Unless a resident or visitor ,you might want to give this one a pass . If you do go , Pay Homage To The EAGLE !!
