Sometimes I'll be driving past an open area in the country and say, "If I lived there, I'd put a basket here, and a basket there, and..." This is exactly what I've been picturing! We pulled up to the house and asked if we could play. The lady who came to the door said there was no one to show us the course, but we'd be more than welcome to try to figure it out. As it turns out, that was not a problem at all.

* Course path was very intuitive without signs

* Very interesting creek valley, and great use of resources (elevation, trees, etc)

* Tee pads: very clever for grass! Two painted bricks with a spray-painted line between to indicate the front of the tee pad, as well as flags to catch your eye. There were red, white, and blue tee pads at increased distance/challenge

* Well-mowed and brush cleared, so low risk of losing a disc

* In a few places, they had mowed a lower level of grass to indicate which direction to go next.

* Multiple distance tees on several holes

* #8 really tested my backhand for length, whereas #9 gave me a chance to open up with my forehand

* Very friendly people

* trash cans at the tee pads

* No concrete tee pads

* Out of the way drive for nine holes

If I had a piece of land like this, I hope I would be able to make and maintain a disc golf course this interesting! I wondered if this would be just some long-forgotten dream that someone had of having a disc golf course in their back yard.
Not the case at all! This course has been very well thought through and kept up. This was evident by the fact that not only was the grass well-mowed, but it was mowed at second level in places where you need to find the next tee (mostly from #5 to #6, but also a trail from #7 to #8)

Kudos on a really fun course. We'll keep coming back as many times as you'll let us. It was totally worth the drive out from the Quad Cities!

A fun course to play if you are working on your wooded precision shots. Several of tunnels to come out of and hit off the tee.

Not a lot of distance. Only one par 4
It is on private land (both a pro and con)
The occasional horse crap (they do the mowing though so you can't be too mad)
There are No Signs or Teepads yet
No Trashcans yet. (Pack it in pack it out)

Can be confusing to get to

Definitely play through once real quick before you challenge you challenge your friends to a friendly 18.

For a course that just got scratched in over the past year it is really coming along nicely.

I have heard they may be elongating holes/moving teepads and improving the course in general in the future so I can't wait to get down there and play again.

Make sure to bring a cooler and snacks for between rounds. With all of the elevation change you will work up a thirst.

Definitely a fun course to check out and the only course around if you live in west central Illinois.
