Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jan 6, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

with some work it will be a nice little course. great for beginners. good winter views over green river. great tees

2-5-18. Much better now

Cons:

very muddy. bring extra shoes for later. mounds of dirt on 2, 4 and 5. mud around tees. wood piles that need to be cleared away. dilapidated warehouse in the way on #2. trash dump betwen #2 fairway and #4 basket. benches in the fairways. benches placed in odd locations. #7 tee doesn't face the target

Other Thoughts:

it seems that the park is not finished. except for the benches i would like to assume the other cons will be taken care of. it looked like the warehouse was in the middle of demolition. it is way too muddy for any heavy work to be done though. i would like to believe that the benches were placed once h.b. was done as surely he wouldn't allow them to be there or request that they be put there. i have in-laws in campbellsville so i'll come back later in the year and see how it has improved.

You are correct that the course is not complete . . . the benches and tables will all be relocated (bench to behind tee, tables to a area near tee one with volleyball court near by).

We had to completly clear and grade the woods from years of neglict - so it will take a season for the grass to take hold in the woods, and the debree (trees) piles just will not burn so will have to be hauled.

Hopefully by summer 2013 this will be ready for "public viewing" andI will hold a grand opening evnet.

Thanks, HB
