Beautiful land dedicated to disc golf 2+ years drive by

Pros:

-Turf tees are in great shape and provide good traction.
-Tee signs are helpful once you have found the tee.
-Baskets are bright yellow DISCatchers, they are easy to see and catch great.
-For a course that doesn't have a whole lot of hills, the ones that are there are used well. many holes that are on hills have a basket on top of one, or playing dow from the top.
-Not many trees on this course, mainly just bushes, but they serve a similar purpose, they shape the hole and your shot. What is interesting about this course is that you could hypothetically throw over the rough and come back into the fairway, but that is incredibly risky because one false move, or one random wind gust and your disc is waaaaaay gone.
-Some holes have water behind them, which makes for interesting death putts, hole 6 and I think 9 feature this the best.
-Good, firmly established OB, clearly marked with white stakes, looks very professional, most notable on hole 14.
-Each hole is a pretty good stand alone hole, and together they make for a myriad of different and fun shots, however the way they smush together in the course is highly confusing.

Cons:

-Fairways need to be mowed more, they are real short grass on some holes, but in places the fairways are really thin, with near impossible rough on each side.
-As said above, the rough needs to be thinned a bit, the grass is about 3 feet high, which makes finding discs incredibly difficult.
-This is one of the most difficult course to navigate that I have ever played. First of all, the map here on DGCR didn't match the course's present layout. Second of all, holes 3, 7, 8, 9, 15 all play super close to each other, Which makes it confusing when walking from hole to hole. Also, I couldn't find hole 12, I saw its basket and looked in all directions from here, but to no avail. Holes 1, 17, and 18 play really close to a foot golf area, so they are a little confusing as to which tees are which (they look exactly alike, and the signs are flat on top of the tee pads).

Other Thoughts:

Gets a 1/4 on the new shoe index, at the end of one round, my shoes and socks were so wet it was as if I had dipped them into a swimming pool.

All in all, this is a pretty good course, definitely the best full day play. It is a step above the recreational level of the majority of courses in Iceland.
