Pros:
Great little course.
- Good teepads
- Well manicured and cared for bit of park
- You play on the wagon ruts of the Santa Fe Trail!
- Bathrooms open all year
- Looks simple at first, but plenty of challenging lines.
- Just enough trees to make it fun
- Cement teepads
- Signs on pad, interesting, good idea!
- Usually not crowded, though picking up speed fast
- Good baskets
- Quick round, 18 in under an hour
- Honestly my favorite 9 hole course
Cons:
- One tee, one basket per hole, no alternate location
- Short I guess? But you should just expect that coming to a 9 hole in a small park
- No benches
- No water fountain
- Bad shot on 4 puts you in the kiddie pool of the YMCA. Then you either have to climb the fence or if they are open go get them to unlock it.
- It's in PV. I'm not doing anything wrong or carrying anything but PV police love pulling people over.
Other Thoughts:
Being in PV, this course draws little different crowd than many DG courses. Expect men in salmon colored pants and lots of golf shirts. There is also a police station directly below the course, though I have never seen them in the upper parking lot.
