Pros:
Many signature holes standout at this course-------------- -
Hole # 11---- Teeing area downhill from the basket. Drive must split narrow fairway of thick and luscious evergreeen trees. Basket perched uptop of an old tractor trail that if missed could produce rollaways.
Hole # 12 Not a HARD hole. But A beautiful hole!! Elevated teeing area. Drive must go over a no cut zone that isn't very tall. Fairway Open up after a 50' foot walking path through no cut zone to a BIG open circular manicured cut area with basket just on the downside of the hill. Most of the main fairway is flatter than the hole protrays.
Hole # 18---- This hole one just want to empty their bag kinda hole. Tee is elevated from the downwards fairway leading to the basket in a grove of small trees (only downside to this hole is that the placements of the basket and tee area, BUT this tract of land is shared with the College's Cross Country team and thus the reason why the tee and basket areas are to the right side of the BIG DOWNHILL Fairway you'll use to complete this course).
Colored duct tape in basket well pointing to the next tee really really helped finding the next tee on a few holes!!
Cons:
Only a couple holes did the fairway just go down a foot path and the fairway was pretty narrow (30' wide).
No cement tee pads
No Benches
Generic Tee signs
No Kiosk giving a map of the course near the first hole.
I'm sure this Disc Golf course is closed if they have a Cross country event, since most of the course shares the track of land with either the CC course or the Mountain bike trail
Other Thoughts:
With a few of my cons listed corrected, I think this course would be included to one of the better courses in Michigan, Which is saying alot!!
Next time I play this course, I plan to check out their College Arboretum. From the drive by I saw a gazebo, Waterfalls and lots of people taking pictures or reading a book on a bench.
