Heritage Park Disco Golf Review 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 27, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

Pretty nice concrete tee pads although a bit short. Good high quality baskets. Easy to follow course. Good beginner course with fairly short holes, but some 300+ to keep it challenging enough. If you are fairly good at disc golf this is a very par-able course.

Cons:

Could use some weed whacking to keep the fox tails low. Baskets cross each other and some pedestrian crossing.

Other Thoughts:

Nice to see Lemoore has a pretty decent course. Not as good as Fresno Woodard, or some of the Visalia courses but if you are passing through give it a try, its quite fun.

Course Will Improve As Trees Fill In! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 24, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

Heritage Park Disc Golf Course starts near the ball field and then plays out around the lake, back into the park and then back towards the lake again. Navigation was pretty easy. The course has these great metal tee signs. They're in color and give you all the information you need; Hole #, Par, distance, simple map.
The baskets are Innova models with the yellow band. The course has concrete tee pad, decent sized, although a couple were raised up about 2 inches over the surrounding dirt. I'd love to see some fill added around those.
There is a nice variety of hole types and lengths, everything from four short ACE runs (a 91', a 141', a 150' and a 172' ) to longer, more difficult holes up to 500'. The lake is used effectively with a couple of baskets very near it's shore. This combined with a blowing wind, made these holes are little scary. There are probably more than a few discs at the bottom of the lake here.

Cons:

Some holes that play right back to the park like # 9 may cause problems with park users.
Park is busy and players have to be careful.
Area around the lake is
mostly ugly, brown parched dirt, not attractive at all. But I did play in late June, might be more green in other parts of the year.
Concrete pads which are not ground level.
Trees in the lake area have recently been planted. This course will become more difficult and more shaded as these trees mature.
Easy to lose disc in the lake.

Other Thoughts:

All in all, this was kind of a fun little throw. Not difficult but having the four short ACE runs always gives you to chance to be a hero. Great signs and the trees will eventually add some much needed shade.

Brand new..give the trees time to grow 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 3, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

1. easy to find discs in dirt

2. Seems like a nice little town(I'm from Illinois though so not totally sure)

3. Nice small little park

4. Next tee right next to last basket

5. Nice disccatcher baskets

6. Should eventually be Well designed holes for the most part, will be much better when the trees get grown

7. concrete pads

8. great signs with par info and yardage

Cons:

1. brand new

2. Trees were just planted and need years to grow

3. Short (2 holes are around 100 ft and are straight shots)

4. Not alot of shade for now

5. not alot of obstacles till trees mature

6. 2 wasted holes

7. Holes run into one another

Other Thoughts:

Hole #1 is on the left when you come into the park.

Took me an 1:07 to play solo

This could be a very nice par 3 course with one par 4 in 5 to 10 years.

Over time this could get a 4 rating.
