Kiddie Aces 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 10, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

+Numbered baskets
+Well maintained school grounds
+Might entice some kids into playing the wonderful sport of disc golf or at least give them more options for gym class activities.
+Ace runs galore! Every hole!
+The distances are perfect for an elementary. Not good for most disc golfers but they fit the demographic.
+Hole 8 was pretty cool and took advantage of a few of the trees on the property

Cons:

-No marked tees, I played from a location near the last basket or if I thought I saw a fun line, I played from there. You can do what you want.
-Not playable a lot of the time including all school hours.
-Course plays way to close to buildings, playgrounds, athletic fields, backyards, fences, parking lots, etc
-Fairly open and flat like most school grounds around here

Other Thoughts:

-These school courses do have their purpose- to entertain kids and help make them active adults down the road. These courses aren't made for you and I.
-Play during non school hours!
-Don't play unless you are a course bagger. You probably won't find much entertainment here.

Pros:

Nice baskets
Holes numbered
Challenging holes 4 and 8

Cons:

No tees
Extremely short holes (some 50-80ft)
Crosses/infringes multiple playgrounds, sports fields
Proximity to yards with low fences, grumpy neighbors

Other Thoughts:

I checked out this course one late afternoon after school hours, but there were kids on the playgrounds, and a softball game was on. Did not notice any obvious tees. The first 3 holes seem extremely short (50-100ft), then hole 4 is relatively longer, but runs along several yards with 5ft fences, where it may be very easy to deposit your disc in a yard.
After the longest hole 4 (still only probably around 200ft), the hole distances stabilize, with more tree obstacles.
Hole 8 is the nicest of them all, in a center of a group of trees. However, in total, there are 3 playgrounds, 2 softball fields, 2 basketball fields, and a soccer field in play, so I would say this makes it too dangerous to play for the kiddies if any are about.
I threw the disc on hole 2, overthrew it, and it went over a fence to a yard. After going around and retrieving the disc, I was chewed out by a neighbor for apparently not closing the gate of his neighbors yard well enough (nobody was home).
