The amenities are nicer than the course itself...nice signage (when it's there), pro scorecards, discs available (though overpriced) in the pro shop on site.

I did not find this course fun to play. The layout seemed "forced" like they were trying too hard to put a course in a spot that just wasn't good. Poorly maintained and inconsistent - long grass on fairway, missing tee signs, and some baskets set on a rocky shale slope (real nice for damaging the discs). All in all, poor for a pay course. On many holes I almost lost my putter in the 4ft tall grass, even though it was within 10ft of basket. e.g. Hole 1 grass was cut like a lawn, but on hole 2 it was 4ft high.

I've never played a round that I just did not enjoy until now. Had I been new to the sport, I likely would not have tried it again. Very frustrating making good shots, only to search for 20mins for a disc that is within 10ft of pin. It happened over and over. If I am going to pay $8 for a round, then I expect the course to be cut and maintained, all tee signs to be in place, and pins is spots that do not damage discs. And I don't expect to be scared of losing my putter over and over again.

It's cool to have a course there, but it needs a lot of work to make it enjoyable. Hockley can't just install and forget about it - they need to maintain it for it to be enjoyable.
