Pros:
The Intel DGC plays along a fairly narrow strip of berm with street on your right and the parking lot street on your left being out of bounds. This green, wooded berm slopes down on both sides to the streets. Beginner type players will probably throw a couple of shots into the streets.
The course features nice, new, informative tee signs. Each sign shows hole #, par, length and a route map. The nice metal signs aren't all facing their baskets so player beware. These baskets are Discatchers with yellow bands. There are no numbers on any of the baskets. The tee pads are natural, worn on some holes but not so so much on others. I think the plan is to have two rocks by each tee sign to show the tee pad. I think the maintenance men who mow this have moved some rocks to make it easier to mow.
The course is easy to follow and a round can be played in 20-25 minutes.
The course is probably rated as a pitch and putt. There is only one hole longer than # 3's 226 ft.
My favorite hole was # 6, a 225 very tight anhyser shot which forces you to keep it low.
Cons:
No trespassing signs posted at each entrance. They say you'll be prosecuted if caught. Maybe have your hands cut off or your nuts removed. Neither is worth it.
Short pitch and putt length with hole ranges from 121 to 250 feet.
Slope of the berm could encourage rollaways.
No defined tee pads on several holes.
Course doesn't loop back to the beginning.
Other Thoughts:
If I worked here, then I would play a round every day at lunch.
The course is actually quite fun. There are a number of Ace Runs and a couple of challenging throws on # 3 & 6.
If you're willing to risk prosecution, jail time or loss of limbs, then by all means, come and check out this course.
