Pros:
This course in Molalla is taking the place of the fairgrounds one and is in a very interesting corner of the Ivor Davies Nature Park. It looks like this was/is an experimental forest and had a double line of trees planted in a U in the middle of the area that the course plays through. Makes for some fun shots. The designers have done a good job with the usual limited space available to a park course and this one has more space than some I have seen.
It starts with a fairly long walk from parking area to the course but the path is good and there are a couple interpretive signs along the way.
Designers have put in good sized concrete tee pads and signs are ok. Layout is pretty easy to follow with exception around 5/6.
Cons:
It get jumbled on 5 and 6. 5 is a long hole along back of property with 6 paralleling it coming back to center but it is pretty easy to think you should throw to pin for 6 from tee 5 for 2 short holes.
The walk in from parking area is a little long but can't really be helped. Has all the usual con for a park course; flat, short, not too much variety of shots but the designers have done a pretty good job of minimizing these.
Other Thoughts:
I was visiting friends in the area and was glad I hit this one. Pleasant course to throw and worth a stop if passing through.
