Pros:
Nine veteran baskets and nine concrete pads.
Hole 1 has a nice leftward movement right before the green. 3 is a nice downhill with potential skips long on the green. 4 is the most difficult hole on the course. 430ft downhill with a huge evergreen blocking the left side, and the treeline on the right filtering out big righty hyzers. This one requires some skill.
Cons:
A new issue cropped up the second time I played here (which was a stupid decision). The rough had grown to 2ft high and was thick enough that we spent more time searching for discs than playing the course. The fairways were mowed, all 8-10ft width of them, along with a circle around the basket.
The pads are a little small for needing to launch 350+ft drives. Along with this, only the first 5 holes have tee signs, and the distances on them are rough estimates.
The next tee is always easy to find, but they are sometimes too close to the previous basket (1/2, 6/7)
With the park being so open and the way the course sits on the hills, wind will always be an issue. Knowing that, the holes here are needlessly long.
Other Thoughts:
To get to the first tee, you'll have to walk through some dirt/mud for about 1000 feet before you get to the course sign, which points right to the first tee.
This would be better as a shorter course. Not much better, but at least then you wouldn't be launching your plastic as far into the rough.
There has been no progress made on this course. Still has only 5 tee signs if Udisc reviews are to be believed, and the rough is still a problem. After making the mistake of going a second time, I don't think I'll be back unless sweeping changes are made.
