Less Than Impressive! 2+ years

Pros:

It's not horrible as school courses go, it's just not real exciting or challenging or pretty or well maintained or any of those others attributes you'd want your friendly neighborhood disc golf to have.

The course is on the property of the Jefferson School District. Truthfully, nothing about the Jefferson School District impressed me. The course starts out behind the swimming pool and the first hole plays across a large field. I never found the first tee but figured later I should have been looking for just a front board somewhere. The # 1 basket is set in a somewhat open area among a row of Pine trees. So there are no tee signs, just the front board, but it has the hole # and distance routered into the board. It doesn't look as though the course has received much play lately. The baskets are Disc Nation models with a number on top.

# 2 is kind of a nice tunnel throw under the tree branches. # 3 is about 300' across the green field of grass. # 4 plays 291' to a basket set near the high school. Then you have to backtrack to get to the # 5 tee board.

# 6 plays out behind the pig pens. (For real.) The whole area back here is very junkie with old poles with concrete bases, the pig pen, piles of construction debris and the back of the auto shop with tons of junked vehicles, etc. There is a construction fence here preventing you from getting to the last three holes. This necessitates a long walk around the high school. #'s 8 and 9 finish near the girl's softball field and the right field foul pole on the boy's baseball field.

Cons:

The construction fence prevents you from the playing the course as it was intended.

Everywhere you go around here is junkie and showing it's age. Piles of debris, old abandoned tennis courts, pig pens, etc. The high school is somewhere between run down and junkie. Hopefully, a new school is being built in it's place.

Board tee pads are difficult to locate.

Other Thoughts:

Playable but just barely hanging on is what this course is. I don't think it's getting much use. It's a little long for a high school course and would be quite a walk. Right now, the construction fence has split the course and I don't see anyone actually trying to complete it, other than some crazy course bagger!
