Built as part one of the recreation options for Jenness Park Christian Camp. Played with other men from my church on a weekend Men's retreat. All players minus me were playing for their first time.

Multiple tees allow a mixed group to play and compete.Free to play ( call in advance), friendly folks, water and bathrooms. Hilly forested layout, course gets tougher as you go along. warm up basket. Challenging enough for good players.

9 holes, tees are a bit short and bumpy, private course, far off the highway down a dirt road. Being a camp they have large buses that come in loaded with kids.

This is a nice little course at a christian camp/retreat. The camp is situated in a densely wooded mountain valley at an altitiude of about 5000 feet. The course is on the hillside behind the main cluster of buildings. Elevation comes into play on many holes. The entire course is in the woods, but the trees aren't overly dense -- there are plenty of lanes. Each hole has two tees, most are made of cement tiles. Most pins are visible from the tees and the course is easy to navigate. The camp office has nice maps / scorecards and the camp staff was super friendly.

Too short! Even from the back tees, only holes 3, 9, are over 200 feet. (Maybe also 7, but it plays super short from the steep downhill.) Short holes can be exciting if they offer interesting challenges - unusual shapes, tight lanes, etc.. But a lot of the holes here are straight and wide as well. Several tee signs are placed awkwardly close to the tee, blocking some stances, backswings, or follow throughs. The tees are also quite small, but you shouldn't need a run up.

This is a great course to have at a camp. I think the front tees are at the right level for first time players. It is a nice quick stop on a drive, but would be disappointing if you detoured a long way for it.

Make sure to check in at the camp office before you play (no charge). Over the summer you should definitely call ahead to make sure the course is open.
