Pros:

Clapp has 2 sets of tees on most holes that provide a different look from each tee. Orange designates the short tees and Black designates the long tees. Most generally the poured tee pads are the Black tees and the orange tees are on the cart paths or sidewalks. On the baskets there is orange and black tape to guide you in the correct direction.
This course has length and bombers will love this course. This course will challenge your distance game especially if you are playing from the Black tees.
There are a few holes with lines to be shaped depending on the tee you play from 3/5/12/13/16 come to mind. 3 is a cool tunnel hole and it is a moderate length hole. 12 is a sweet downhill low ceiling shot and 13 from the Black pad is a gap shot over the creek with a low ceiling. 16 recently got a redesign and is a reachable uphill shot with trees protecting upon approach. Clapp uses cart paths as OBs to add to the challenge. This course is often not crowded and you should have plenty of space between groups and not have the overcrowding like some of the other courses in the area. Wind will surely be a factor on this course due to its open nature on many holes. The creeks that wind through the course add another nice element and challenge here as well.

Cons:

*Navigation can be an issue if you don't know the layout or have a map, played before etc
*No tee signs or hole number on pads etc
*Long walks between many holes
*Have to hunt for the black and orange triangles(tee markers)
*Flow is a bit off in spots, hole 6 is a tad confusing here
*No trash cans or benches
*Some hole numbers wrote on baskets with magic markers

Other Thoughts:

Overall this course challenges most aspects of your game. It is primarily an open course but there are a few lines that need to be hit depending on the tee you play from. 3 from the long tee is a nice tunnel shot, Hole 12 is a sweet hole as is 13 from the long tee over the creek and thru the gap. This course was built with the intentions of bringing an A tier to the city of Wichita with that in mind the course is long, especially from the black tees. Signage would most definitely help to alleviate the navigation issues and to provide distances and clarification on the OB's.
As it is this course is another option for the Wichita area and this course will let you hone in your distance drivers. There are good lines here but there are some holes that could have used the trees provide to make for more interesting shots. This course is still a bit of a work in progress and it has underwent a few tweaks here and there. Hopefully over time it will continue to evolve and with a few improvements it will become that much better.
