Shady Park on a Hot Summer Day 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 31, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Summer Shade , a good amount of trees make for obstacles on every hole, bathroom, ample parking, small hills as part of the course, a couple of ponds in the park, worth a stop if driving by on 99, nice salsa music nearby, family park, can make 11 holes by playing from 9 to 2 and then back to 1.

Cons:

9 holes, no tee pads, kind of had to make it up or look for worn patches of grass, hard to navigate as most signage was destroyed, no water fountains away from bathroom, imagine it is tough to play when crowded

Other Thoughts:

We played on Sunday AM and it was a nice way to break up a long drive. Tees would push this to a 3.0, Tee 1 is near northwest corner of west parking lot.

practice course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 31, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

beautiful park, good set up for what they have, great hole layout signage

Cons:

short only 9 holes, public park, so can get very crowded, not to much difference in the holes

Other Thoughts:

not too bad for what it is, if you have nowhere else to play its good for practice

Madness in Madera 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 25, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Course sign to show you lay out as u pull in
-awesome directions to next tee
- Course plays mainly thru moderately wooded park
- Easy to Navigate
-Every hole sign has number, distance and layout of the hole but also has the whole course layout in the bottom right hand corner.
-Alternate Tee pads on 4-8 which change the shot quite a bit.
- Mad Town Bombers local club has double every thursday night at 530 pm

Cons:

- lay out is a bit funky
- Tee pads are natural
- Almost all the hole have the same feel to them.
- Long walk from 9 to parking lot

Other Thoughts:

All in all this course surprised me as it plays through a ver nicely wooded and large park Each hole required some shot shaping some more than others. Also, when i played it seemed like this course was a work in project at it looks like it is going to be an 18 hole course in the future.
