A hidden gem 2+ years drive by

Pros:
Terrain: The course uses the lay of the land really well. It doesn't just pay around the hills, it plays over them (literally).
Tees: All tees are marked with 2 wooden stumps and are clearly visible from the previous basket.
Baskets: Despite not being the newest of baskets they are all in great condition and obviously well looked after. All are numbered on top too, just in case you loose track of where you are going.

Cons:
Scout camps: Sadly the camp ground is used by scout groups from Mid June - Mid August and so the course is unavailable during this time. Ring in advance to avoid disappointment

Course description:
Hole 1: Nice short par 3 along the top of the ridge. There is a nicely mowed fairway down the centre of the hole. Try not to stray from this or your disc may be swallowed up in the deep rough.
Hole 2: A slightly longer Par 3, into the forest glade at the summit of the pinnacle. 3 large trees protect the basket, with numerous low branches. A pinpoint approach shot is needed to get close.
Hole 3: A downhill left to right hole, with OB long of the basket. A low branch close the basket makes getting close difficult.
Hole 4: A beautifully shaped hole, straight down a natural valley. The silver birch near the tee could do with a trim, as your tee shot is slightly impeded but still a wonderful hole. Don't go long on the basket as there is a steep drop behind
Hole 5: A steep uphill par 3, to a basket perched on the ridge. A careful tee shot is needed so you don't overshoot and have a nasty return putt.
Hole 6: After shooting up the ridge on the last hole, you play over the other side for this hole. Good disc control is needed to get close.
Hole 7: An little gem! This par 4 is the best hole I have played. It is technically difficult but still naturally beautiful at the same time. The hole plays across a 45 degree slope which is riddled with rabbit holes, gorse and bramble. From the tee you will see 2 large oak trees in the distance, the basket sits in a clearing at the base of these. Expect to play your 2nd (and/or) 3rd shots from the bottom of the slope as roll away's are common.
Hole 8: A short par 3 to allow you to relax after the difficult last hole. Stay right of the fenced area for the best position on the basket
Hole 9: Before teeing off here check there is no one on the 1st tee. The holes play very close to each other. A nice simple hole to end.
I really enjoyed this course. If only it was closer to home so I could play more often
