+Trees! Like all good courses, this course has so many well-placed trees, not only bracketing the fairways, but also guarding the easy hyzers and grenades.
+Elevation. Built on top of severall hills, there are steep, 400 foot downhills and tough 300 foot uphill shots.
+Distance. Lone Star uses the terrain, trees and elevation so the easiest holes are perched on hillsides, next to sticky trees, or mounted on boulders, but there are still huge shots to challenge big arms.
+Aesthetics.Every hole leads organically to the next tee box. The scenery is great, and it's always quiet and isolated from anything but disc golf. I've left some discs at this course, by the way, and got every single one back. Nice to have that as a given.
+Garbage cans and benches on every hole.

-Little bit of confusion navigating if you're brand new, though the designer is on hand to guide one around the course if you need it.

This is a great disc golfer's course. Lone Star avoids repetition by mixing elevations and the distance to obstacles. There are so many alternative lines on each hole that forehand/backhand is never really the obvious choice. I hope I'm making it clear that I'm not ignoring the Cons above, I just think they are part of a good day out. Disc golf isn't ball golf. BUT, if you aren't okay with that, I give up half a point.
