Nice beginner course.

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 21, 2023 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

- Good quality baskets at every hole.
- concrete tee pads at every hole.
- Short holes perfect for beginners to get birdies.
- Nice views of the lake
- Quiet, and usually not busy, so it's easy to practice putting at a basket.
- Some holes are up or down hills, so gives a bit of practice for elevations changes.

Cons:

- Concrete tee pads might not be long enough if you take a running throw, but that's not necessary on this course anyway.
- Not much for obstacles. Mostly straight shots.

Other Thoughts:

Rating is based on being a beginner. We've played 4 times here and have fun. Have only played one other course so far so I don't have much to compare it to, but I can confidently say it's a nice course for beginners especially.

9 Baskets In Very Close Proximity, Mostly 150ft - 200ft Range 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 15, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Baskets in good condition, clearly identifiable with hole number at the top.

- Tee pads were clearly marked with signage (though not great in of themselves, see below).

- If you play the course as laid out, no risk of throwing into adjacent houses, course designers have kept things safe by keeping things short.

- Unlikely to lose discs on this course, except maybe throwing to Hole 6 if you go long.

- Reasonable amount of parking in the area.

- Close to the Marina and waterfront, nice part of town to sneak a course into.

- Easy to navigate the course without a map, very clear how to move from one hole to the next.

- Good for recreational / very new players.

Cons:

- Extremely short, the signs say they are "Par 2s" for experienced players. More of a pitch and putt disc golf course than a real 9 Hole Course. Most of the holes were around 150-180 I believe, longest was 245 or so downhill that plays like 200.

- You throw up and down a hill, but other than that, these are just baskets in an open field. With a couple of minor exceptions (e.g. small stand of trees on Hole 1), there is no shot shaping or obstacles to worry about.

- Getting into the course can be a bit confusing, you need to enter from Abbot St. Walk south on Abbot from the intersection of Abbot and Marina and then take the trail that switches back up towards Marina.

- Tee pads are dirt, short, and beat in, definitely a few places to roll and ankle if you did any sort of run up, though advanced players will not need any run ups.

Other Thoughts:

- You only need a putter and maybe a midrange if you're very new, advanced players will only throw a putter on most holes.

- Not a great course for carts, and you don't need one anyway.

- Not a great course for anyone with mobility issues. Not terrible, but it's up and down a dirt hill.
- Dry conditions when we played, not sure how this hill would be when wet.

- This is a place to practice putting and some short range throws, and great for new players to the game, but nothing beyond that. Glad someone decided to fit a course in here, and for what it is it's not bad, the baskets and signage are clear and good, but definitely do not go out of your way to play this course unless you're looking for a new player friendly course. Three Blind Mice is a far superior course only 10 minutes to the northeast.
