not much there 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 26, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

good baskets, not crowded, beginner friendly

Cons:

The biggest issue is not being able to find the tee markers. Not much variety of shots. No elevation, no risk reward

Other Thoughts:

I could only find the tee markers for #1 and #9. No course map there or on this site. As I got there a guy was just finishing playing and he also could not find the tee markers. He had a score card from when the park 1st opened that had yardage and par (not all 3's) and he said the park was basically unchanged from when it opened. Good place to practice but just not much there. Not really worth a trip. Looks like they have room to do more but it appears that nobody is really that interested

Pros:

-All brand new baskets!
-Park is clean and well maintained
-Skate park on site! (pretty cool, too)
-Park Staff was very friendly

Cons:

-No trashcans or benches at the tees (plenty of both in park area, though)
-Very few opportunities for elevation change, and not utilized where available
-Holes #2, #3 & #4 are almost identical to each other,
-Parking is close enough to Hole #1,but the course stretches from one end of the park to the other, and the walk from #9 to the parking area is rather long-ish
-Holes #1-#3 & #5 did not have tee markers (we were told by park management that these are coming)
-Holes #4 & #6 tee markers are difficult to locate due to grass covering them (these are Red Plastic Innova Tee Markers)

Other Thoughts:

Hole #1 tees off about halfway down the tennis courts on the skate park side (see Hole #1 picture for a better idea) Holes #2 - #5 tee off adjacent to the previous hole's basket. Some have markers some do not.
This is very much a beginner's course. Holes #1-#4 are WIDE open with minimal obstacles. Hole #5 could be the most challenging on the course; a dogleg right with O.B. on both sides.
Unfortunately, this course isn't going to see much action from experienced players, and is more of a novelty for parkgoers... for now.
We met one of the guys who installed the course and according to him there are additions and tweaks in the future & depending on traffic, possibly more holes as well.
