Pros:
The asset here is the ski slopes. The new layout definitely uses the slopes very well without being overly dependent on them. A very nice mix of wooded and open holes with only 5 holes that require any climbing. There are very few holes that resemble others on the course leaving every tee shot different from the last.
Cons:
Tee Pads!!! There were these tiny little rubber mats that were supposed to resemble tee pads but they just slipped out from under your feet and became more of a hazard than any help. Some were just thrown to the side. It is obvious that the course was just redesigned. The greens are still littered with sticks and trash. There is no signage indicating hole lengths, pin locations or the next tee pad.
Other Thoughts:
There was definitely some work put into making the new redesign and getting it open but there is a lot of work yet to be done to make this course comparable to the other courses in the area. From what I have seen the other courses have permanent concrete tee pads and quality signage.
