Ace Ventura 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 17, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

Brand new triple chain MVP baskets catch well. Teepads new and long enough for the short run up if any. Informative signage with distance to pin noted. Real nice beginner-friendly course. Holes 1,2,4,5,6, and 8 are begging to be bashed from the pads. Clean park with restrooms.Hole 7 has a ballfield that an errant throw may go over the fence. an advanced or intermediate player can throw a 18...or 17.

Cons:

No elevation change.(this is actually a PRO if your're old, fat, tired, or all three like me) Hole 3 plays behind a pavilion . Make note of where hole 5 teepad is when you pull in (on your right) and remember it for later. Distances are between 142 and 272 feet.

Other Thoughts:

Pretty park and I had fun trying for aces and CTPs. Played my second round in 15 minutes while throwing extra discs. It could be stretched out to a more challenging course with farther pin placements. Worth the visit if you are a disc golf newbie or junkie for sure. Add another ace to your portfolio.

Good Beginner Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 4, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

Very nice, brand new, concrete tee pads. Baskets are also brand new.

Cons:

Very short. Not many natural obstacles. Long traverse from Hole 4-5.

Other Thoughts:

The course designers did the best they could with the limited space in an existing small town park. Lay out flowed pretty well except for from hole 4-5. The course did not yet have the signs marking the holes, but was informed that they had arrived just hadn't been installed yet. And if you have a Verizon phone, it will not get much if any reception at this park, so just kind of had to try to figure out which hole was next.
This is a good little course to pull out your putter and work on making good throws with it, but with the exception of #s 8 & 9, it will really not challenge your distance, even with a putter.
Also, the park does not drain well, so if it has rained much in the previous couple of days (i.e. all day yesterday) you will get wet shoes.
But, if you are in the area and want a quick couple of rounds, and some putter work, hit it up!
