redesign 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 24, 2022 Played the course:once

Pros:

mix of very open and moderately wooded holes. Pro shop onsite. some water in play. some concrete tee pads. not crowded at all.

Cons:

baskets are old and not in the best shape. only a few concrete tee pads. The tee signs face in random directions and have no info on them. Would have had problems knowing where to throw if I wasn't with someone who had played there before. course holds water in places. access limited to military at this time. some fairly long walks between holes.

Other Thoughts:

This course was totally redesigned in the last year or so. The previous reviews will not be relevant at all. The holes are all par 3 now. I changed the par in the info but the yardage is still wrong. The tee signs did not have that info. I would guess most of the holes are between 250 and 350 feet with maybe a couple longer. there are 2 significant water carries one of which would be a real problem for shorter ranges throwers. Definite problem with navigation and knowing which basket to throw at. course doesn't really have a signature hole but many of the holes are interesting. It's a nice play but I wouldn't go out of my way to play there a lot

Pros:

Open holes and long on old golf course.

Cons:

OK course on old golf course not worth 4 disc rating.
I played because of rating and regret I didn't review a little more before playing.
poles need to be on left side of tee's for most right handed golfers.

Nice course one old golf course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 8, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice course on old golf course
- Golf carts available
. Clubhouse next to course
. flags next to baskets
. Nice mixture of hills and distances
. easy to get around course
. nice scorecards in clubhouse

Cons:

Signs signify only number not distances
. long course with hot and humid weather
. no tee boxes
. layout the same for all holes...to linear
. only 1 water jug...could use 3 or more.
. par 72 but should be less

Other Thoughts:

the first time I played the course it was enjoyable but the bridge had problems so I could not use a cart...it was a very long and hot round hitting 100 degrees...I had to take frequent breaks from the heat on the back nine...otherwise I had a great time playing the course and will play it again with a cart to get around.
