Pros:
Very short course in an incredibly beautiful valley that used to be occupied by Cherokee Indians. The course itself runs along and across the Little Toccoa Creek. The course takes roughly 30-45 minutes to complete, so it's worth a visit if you've just finished a round at a nearby course. The course has a decent variety of open and wooded shots for a nine hole course.
Many of the hole have good fun factor, which is the most redeeming quality of the course.
Cons:
The course is sporadically unavailable as the camp Mikell campus is often hosting events all year round. If you are worried about it, call ahead as their website does not provide a schedule.
The tee points are pitiful, as they are just dirt, and are often growing over with poison ivy. Only some of the holes have names, and often the only information about the hole is what number it is. This can be confusing for newcomers, especially on holes 2, 6, and 8.
This course is probably not worth a visit unless you're already in the area.
Other Thoughts:
Good parking can either be found at the turn around right before the first field, or in a larger parking lot near the nature center at the end of the course. You will have to walk either way as the course does not loop.
The course was really constructed for people and staff apart of the camp Mikell community, so take it for what it's worth. The course itself is quaint, and fun for the people with immediate access to it, not much more.
