I recommend walking to the edge of the hill and getting a mark on where the hole is. A left to right shot is always preferred because it will drop over the edge of the hill and glide with the contour of the hill. Long and left is trouble in the form of giant boulders which hide discs very good. If you clear those, your in thick woods. Far right is a valley that is a very hard shot to save par. If you find yourself on the hill, I recommend throwing a putter or mid range straight with the contour of the hill.
