-I thought about doing a second poetic review (read my Kathy Kitts review). I thought about expressing the challenge of finding the first hole and the extreme hole quality range from bad to awesome in the style of poetry. But this is a pretty solid nine holer overall I think, so I'll do a second poem another time. I enjoyed a few holes here that really bumped up my rating for this course. It's very hilly, and you get rewarded with a couple fun downhill holes with huge elevation changes. Holes #6 and #9.

-#6 is a hole that I haven't seen anything like. Not sure if this is an unpopular opinion. I really loved it. It's really intimidating the whole way. There's a serious chance that it'll be the most intimidating dogleg you play. It's one of the scariest yet most interesting dogleg left holes that I've played. One of the most extreme holes I have played. You're throwing a blind hyzer down a tight wooded fairway. The fairway goes left and STEEP downhill. Hole has a 40' elevation loss. The basket isn't all the way down the hill. There's probably at least another 20' to the bottom of the hill, so being short is extremely scary. I was 30' short of the pin, and was left with a death putt that requires insane intrepid ambition to even go for. The basket isn't visible from the pad, so if you throw too soft, you could hit a tree or go too far left and into the woods.

-#9 is without a doubt the signature hole. Nice to know that there is a signature hole on a nine hole course. It's wooded and extremely downhill. 291' long so is typically a mid range distance for bigger arms. A distance driver distance for the rest. You won't want to throw anything else than a putter because it plays WAAAAYYY shorter. The fairway is wide, and the hole is effectively short. However, you still can't be weak. If you are weak, you'll turn too quickly.

-Holes 2 and 3 are good holes for distance and shot shaping. Long and require accuracy to get a nice 2 on. A 3 is a good score as well on those holes.

-If you want, you could tee off on top of the hill right before it declines and throw to hole 7's basket. That's a fun shot to throw even though it's not a hole. I did that, and it was a real blast!

-Wow. The hole quality range is beyond extreme for a nine holer. I think holes 6 and 9 are epic. A couple are good, holes 2 and 8. Holes 3 and 7 are fillers. And then we talk about the short holes. Those holes are 1, 4, and 5. They are all terrible. I had a tough time finding the worst hole on the course; the starting hole. I parked in the first parking lot I saw which appeared to be the visitors' and the first basket I saw was hole 9. The hole that is the main prize, a prize so valuable, was revealed before I started playing. That's like a parent or family member having no idea where to hide a child's Christmas present that they were desperate for. So without the rationalization to wrap it or simply forgetting, they place it in a reachable spot and the child sees it and immediately wants to play with it. Others may argue that it's what you have to look forward to, but that to me was a bit too good of a surprise.

-I'm thinking that the course ends at least in somewhat of a loop, but it doesn't at all. IThe layout is shaped more like an arc. The first hole was a walk up the hill along the fence and to the left down the road from where I parked. You have to decide for yourself whether or not you want an extremely long walk to hole 1 and park in the lot down there, or park in the first lot you see once you get to the dividing road on the campus. If you go right, you'll get to the lot by #1. If you go left, you'll have a very long walk to #1 and will see how great hole 9 is before you start playing. But won't have a long walk to your car. Decide for yourself.

-#1 is a wide open putter toss. I supposed you could try and do a trick shot by throwing too far and having your disc bounce off the wall, since you are facing the wall off the road. But was pretty frustrating that I did all of that searching just to play a hole that's so useless to where it makes a typewriter look like an object that would be fought to blood over in an auction. #4 is the shortest hole. 132' and uphill. Wide open and on a hill. #5 is awfully boring too. 180' and slightly uphill.

-Milligan is definitely a course tease. You start off thinking it's a joke and then you see a good hole 2 and gives you a slightly auspicious feeling that you know is correct when you play hole 9. Hole 6 is a love or hate hole that I love. If you don't love it, then chances are you won't enjoy this course. It left a weird taste, but I'm glad I stopped by. I can see why the previous review likes this course.

-I love elevation changes, and I'm glad this course utilizes it the way it does on the final four holes.
