Pros:
-Really good hole design. There wasn't really a lot to work with on this piece of land, but the designers squeezed everything out of it to design a course that has a lot of really fun shots.
-Good balance of easy and hard holes. The front starts out pretty tame, but the course starts to get really long in the middle, and birdies come sparingly after the first 8 holes.
-Great long, challenging holes on the back 9. A few of these are reachable for big arms, and really give you a change to air one out while still requiring an accurate shot due to lots of legitimately dangerous hazards. You need to be able to throw a controlled 450-500 foot shot to have a look at birdie on holes 13, 15, and 17.
Cons:
-Several fairly basic holes (2, 7, 18). These holes are around 260-320 feet without many obstacles and are pretty easy birdies for decent players. I personally don't mind an easy, boring hole every now and again, but some people do.
-Entire course is on a massive grassy field, which means the grass can get really long in-between mows. Don't expect any skips here.
-Thick, thistley brush patches are used as hazards on the back 9. They're well-placed and add a challenge to a few of these long holes, and present a fun risk-reward scenario, but they will make your disc disappear and and completely tear up your legs should you throw one in there.
Other Thoughts:
For a relatively limited piece of land (mostly flat, not many wooded areas) this is an excellently designed course. Highly recommended for anyone in the Mid-Michigan area.
