Pros:
- Tee pads are very good
- Baskets caught very well.
- Technical course that awards shot shaping.
- Little redundancy.
Cons:
-Navigation is a little quirky.
-Tee signs are not accurate for current hole placements.
Other Thoughts:
I went with some friends to play this course before I move in August per recommendations from friends. The course did not disappoint. I loved the obvious effort the locals have put into making the course nicer. There are bench seats at many holes, and even places to place your disc bag while you tee off on some. I definitely got some ideas from here that I will want to implement at future courses.
I loved the flow of each hole and how you had to shape your shots to be successful. I am a RHBH dominant thrower, and I had to use many discs from my bag throughout the course. Sure, I never had the opportunity to use my go to pure distance driver, but that was OK with me. Each hole was a challenge and I enjoyed every throw.
Low cost temp tee signs were in place for what I assume were different pin locations than the course was currently using, and I probably would have gotten lost or would have at least needed a map to navigate had I not gone with a friend who had played the course before. These issues normally would have lowered the course rating that I give, but I had so much fun playing each hole, that I did not mind.
I think the course has something to offer all levels of disc golfer, and I would definitely recommend this or Noble to anyone that asks me where they should play in the OKC area.
