Other Thoughts:
The Hibiscus course is located on a sports complex that includes outdoor soccer fields, an indoor hardwood basketball court, and an indoor swimming pool. The complex itself is atop a cliff overlooking a beautiful ocean shore. The Okinawa Open includes this beach, but it's not currently part of the regular layout. The regular course has a short, relatively simple RHBH hyzer shot orientated setup. It starts just in front on the complex front office, curls clockwise around the back of the buildings, then flows around the track. I recommend bringing something overstable in the eventuality of wind picking up. There's a wind turbine located in close proximity to the course for a valid reason.
I attempted to play the course route indicated on the free scorecard obtained from the front office, but had a hard time finding the sign indicating which patch of grass to throw from. Each general tee pad area was indicated by a weathered wooden sign with the hole information painted on it in Japanese. The baskets in the big open set of fields, parallel to the first 3 holes, are not indicated in the course layout map. It is likely they are part of some course design update that has yet to be documented. None of these other baskets have tee signs or tee markings. It is nearly impossible to tell where you're supposed to throw from.
The lack of maintenance that has been put into this course is disappointing. Someone spent thousands of dollars to buy really nice baskets, only to put them on a poorly designed short course with even worse directional signage and tee markings. There's enough unique landscape to put together a decent course, but it looks like nobody wants to put forth the effort to do so. I have a hard time imagining disc golf growth on Okinawa with courses like this.
