Potentially Problematic Pitch n Putt

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 23, 2024 Played the course:once

Pros:

In this little park on the water there are 9 very nice white Veteran baskets situated in a ring around a multi use sports field that was hosting Lacrosse practice when I played.

You have some shots that are around and over water and wind coming in from that side of the park added challenge as well.

Short enough to be beginner friendly and there are a couple of shots that require real skill to birdie like 1/4/5.

Cons:

It's boarder line on being a course. No tee area are marked in any way that I could find and many shots could put people in the gazebo or doing other activities in your line of fire.

This in theory should be an amazing place to learn to play but holes like 1 and 4 with water right by the pin and 5 with a fence into residential OB close by I don't know if I would really recommend a new player try it.

Other Thoughts:

Odd little course with some fun shots mixed in. An odd quirk is that there are many ducks by the first four holes and they will run towards your disc until they realize it's not food.

They were not aggressive to me but did fight with each other over which one got to eat my glow Stego. Thankfully it tastes as good as it glides.

Pitch and Putt Practice

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 23, 2023 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

9 holes (8 baskets). Baskets are DD Veterans and are in terrific shape. Course plays around the edge and then on a part of an open field area. Mostly open but has a couple of tighter fairways. Offers good practice for putting and short approach shots, with no hole longer than about 250 feet. Some challenging aspects, like a pond on a couple of holes and a tight OB fence line on hole 5. Easy to find. Maintained well. Water fountain and bathroom available.

Cons:

Despite its short length, this is not a beginner friendly course. The OB fence on 5 is low and can be easily thrown over, leading into a parking lot. Natural tees (in fairness, I wouldn't have concrete here given the multi-purpose field area).

Other Thoughts:

I like only playing the water holes once, so this makes for a decent short course for me as a local. If you like a place to throw putting and approach shots with a fair variety of hole type, and this is not a far drive, then it's worth your time. Good lunch time/after work course to work on your game.
