Pros:
This course has good signage and ample tee pads. The flow is logical and the basket are new and catch well.
The fairways are well mowed as was the areas around the tee pads.
The is one hole that has a pond on it to provide you with the threat of a water hazard.
A few of the holes are very Aceable and a couple of the holes have decent length.
Here are my hole observations:
1-pretty straight, with a well defined fairway. Has thick rough on both sides of the fairway.
2-doglegs to the right
3-throws uphill
4-longest hole on the course and has an elevated tee box
5-straight shot, throw your disc down the gravel/dirt road and you should be safe.
6-short, has trees and tall rough on the right.
7-tunnel shot that dog legs to the right. This is the best hole here, in my opinion.
8-has heavy trees on the right side of the tee and a pond on the left.
9-very similar to hole 5 with a well defined fairway and tall grass on either side of the fairway.
Cons:
The rough here is brutal. As other reviewers have said it very thick and high as well. Finding your disc if you go into the rough can be an adventure all of its own.
Wind will factor in with over half of the holes being out in the open. This most definitely will add to the challenge of keeping your disc in the narrow fairway.
There are no amenities here.
This isn't a beginner friendly course and I could see beginners losing plastic here very easily and giving up on this course.
It seems like over half of the course is the same style of hole, narrow fairway with heavy rough on either side and the basket out in the open. This does get redundant after a while.
Other Thoughts:
Obviously staying in the fairways is going to be key on this course. Personally I would have liked to see more holes like 2 and 7 where some shot shaping needed to be done in order to score well.
Players that want a course with more length won't be overly excited with this course nor will a player looking for a technical challenge.
Recreational players would most likely enjoy Neinhus park better because the threat of losing their disc is going to be lower there.
If you are a player that enjoys a course with thick punishing rough that is going to make you work on your control then this course will suit your needs. If you are looking for more of a park style setting then you would be best to pass this one by.
Overall its not a bad course, it just needs a little more variety and the rough needs a little taming.
