Old Main is set in one of the most beautiful scenes you could ask for. The hill is located at the mouth of a canyon and overlooks the valley.

Covered with large mature trees, this course is a challenge to navigate the obstacles and keep your discs from rolling for an eternity.

The course layout is well done for being entirely on the side of a hill. It allows for shots that aren't just up shots or downhill ones. It also doesn't favor RHBH or RHFH throwers.

By far the biggest drawback to this course is that it is a temp course, and unless the league is playing then you're using trees as targets. Typically I am extremely harsh on object courses, and it did cost this one about a half a point instead of the full point it usually costs a course, because they do usually only play it when the baskets are out.

There is absolutely no way to determine the tees or targets without playing with someone who knows it. This cost the course another half point.

It's not a major thing, but there are a few hickups in the course layout that don't flow the greatest.

Grass tee pads are a drawback, for sure. There was a minor problem with slipping on fallen fruit on the South side of the course.

Nearly every hole has the potential for your disc to roll away. Although that adds to the challenge it does get a tad bit old after a while.

If this course ever gets baskets it will be a good one, for sure. As it stands it's got the highest object course rating that I've given out.

It is certainly worth playing if you can get a guide. I'm not sure if the course map would be sufficient to navigate it otherwise. It is fun though, and will certainly teach you how to avoid roll-aways.
