An amazing course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 11, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

Beautiful scenery. You can walk or rent a golf cart. Bathrooms about halfway through the course. Water shots. Uphill. Downhill. Take your camera. It's a amazing course. Elite brothers and Marcus blew me away Everyone I met so far playing in New Mexico talked about this course and I can see why

Cons:

Ball golfers don't care for us it seems. At least the ones I met. Figuring out the route by myself was easy except going to hole 3 was confusing. You cross over to the water hole. Them come back across and up to play hole 4.

Other Thoughts:

10 dollars to walk 25 for a cart. I paid for a cart because my mom was with me and wanted to watch me play but otherwise I would have just walked. I was the only disc golfer in a cart. Be respectful of the rules. Thank everyone out there so we can play this course more. I am not trying to sound mean but this course is about. A 3.50. Dgcr has it as 4.69. With Winthrop which hosts the usdgc a 4.19. This course is not better than Winthrop. But for me it's the second best course in New Mexico. Only behind lindrith. If you get the chance play this course. I donated three discs to hole 3 to the undersea God of Neptune lol. It was so windy I couldn't make it across but that's my fault. I loved playing this hole and the whole course.

AWESOME!! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Oct 18, 2015 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Updated 10/28/15:
-Phenomenal setting! In the mountains on a ball golf course.
-Challenging holes for every type of player.
-Golf carts optional, though $15/person
-Great maintenance of the ball golf course means it's a maintained disc golf course as well.
-Small restaurant on site

Cons:

-Disc golf shared with ball golf. Understandably the ball golfers have priority here, but a practice round took almost as long as a tournament round bc we had to let at least 5 groups play through. The group of regulars in front of us also mentioned this.
-Windy in the afternoon. I've played a lot of rounds here, and it always seems to get more windy in the afternoon hours.
-It's not open all year round, and the 3 or 4 weeks a year it is open isnt during the best NM weather. Could be sunny, might be snowing.
-Golf carts are $15 per person, so $30 for a pair of golfers, which seems a bit expensive.

Other Thoughts:

-Great course if you can make it in the small window that it's open twice a year.
-The other golfers and staff are always friendly.
