Pros:

- Brian, co-designer/caretaker/hatchery manager. If he joins you for your round you'll have a great time.
- Nice elevation changes on 1-10.
- Good mix of distances and open vs wooded.
- Some water hazards, mostly small streams where discs are retrievable.
- Small cabinet on a tree at first tee with spare discs, take-a-disc leave-a-disc policy, cans of bug spray.
- No crowds, probably have the course to yourself unless Brian tags along.
- Beautiful woodland/wetland setting.
- Natural tees.

Cons:

- Mosquitoes.
- Serious marsh along left side of fairway on 12. Don't go there.
- Not much signage, most tees and baskets have numbers.
- Odd mix of basket types including some home made ones.
- On the easy side for experienced players but some longer tees available for more challenge.
- Natural tees.

Other Thoughts:

The course is a work in progress, very rustic and low budget. Brian said the next goal is improved tees, although I'd prefer improved signage first. The baskets are all donated or home-made so some are great, some are temporary and some are plastic barrels on a pole cut in half and separated with chains inside (these ones actually worked surprisingly well). This place is very isolated and gets few visitors. We were fortunate to meet Brian who runs it, lives on site, has done much of the course design and almost all of the maintenance. He guided us through the round and was a wealth of information about the course and local and natural history. Might have been a challenge to navigate without his help but it flows pretty well so probably not too hard to navigate on your own. UDisc has a map of the course but they have #6 all wrong: it plays up the hill to the left of the 7th tee, not towards the 7th basket. The front 9 plays up and down a gentle slope with some holes playing across it. #10 is a steep, short, downhill ace run, followed by flat holes on 11-18 in the lower wetlands surrounded by small streams and marshland. Highly recommend a short break after #10 to visit the natural springs and trout, just follow the trail past the basket (the indoor hatchery itself is closed to the public). A very fun course, highly recommended if you're in the area. League nights at 5:30 on Thursdays that typically attracts the 3 regulars.
