Pros:
Once you find this course it starts off with some good design. I like the downhill open fairway between the two large trees. The holes stay pretty good for a 9 hole course (with one obvious exception).
The tee's were good, the signs were really good, the length of the holes is a nice variety for a 9 hole course, the baskets are great quality disCatchers I'm pretty sure (I don't remember that much). I like the open holes to technical holes to open holes layout. I like how it's secluded and away from the main property (though there's apparently a large animal vet next to the course so you may see some horses).
Cons:
But. All that to say- it was a frustrating round. I'm trying not to rate the course based on it's conditions the day I played it, and I don't think I am, but I am going to mention in my review that this course has been neglected at least for a few months.
The grass is TALL and THICK. It is easy to lose a disc if you don't watch very closely where it lands.
The worst part of this course for me though was hole 3. It is shaped like a fishook, and it's only 230' long. There's no way get a disc to fly like that because boomerangs aren't allowed in this sport, and there's no way you're throwing a roller because the grass is shin to knee high. That shape is in general my least favorite shape of disc golf hole, especially at short distance.
Other Thoughts:
The distances when I used this app were off by hundreds of feet every hole. I wrote down the actual distances on the tee signs, and I should have it updated by the time you play this course.
This and Prince Solms Park in New Braunfels were the same for me as far as my enjoyment. Overall I would only say this course is better, and a lot safer. However, in the "if I had to play one course tomorrow and only one" game, I would probably play Prince Solms for being almost as good in hole design, worse baskets, but it's mowed and I can just avoid the people.
I'd still recommend playing this course, but I don't know if I'd tell you you're going to love it
EDIT: I just went back and looked at old reviews to see how my impressions compared to others, and I'll just say it really pays to sort by Trusted Reviewer
