M.V.'s only best course! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 20, 2009 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Good balances of difficulties and ease of play. Nice surrounding with the taste of Martha's Vineyard's nature that are both open and enclosed field.

Nice course wall map and drop box for lost disc at the kiosk. Has tee signs and "next tee" arrow signs as well.

ITS FREE!!

Cons:

No restroom nor outhouse nor porta john anywhere. Nasty bugs during the time of summer day. Bring bug spray. No printable course map available.

Its all flat - no hills or water hazards. Trees and tee locations seems to be in place to present better challenges.

Tall grasses and deep woods in some areas, makes finding disc bit difficult. Best to pay attention after throwing.

Did not have the chance to play the newly installed 19-27 holes which I could have taken pictures of due to not seeing any "next tee" signs for 19th hole and on.

Other Thoughts:

Well-designed course for anyone to come and check it out if they are visiting the island via only boat. Takes about 1.5 hours to do 18 holes.

It is the site that hosts the annual "Deaf Island" tournament every year in June!

White tees (AM) seems to be most used often than Blue Tees (Pro) which are a bit difficult to locate for the first time around.

Two stores that carries discs on the island:
At Oak Buff - The Lazy Frog (mvthelazyfrog.com)
At Vineyard Haven - Brickman's Inc (brickmans.com)

Will love to go back there again!!
