Well, There's Baskets..

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Oct 10, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Course is located at a bar that serves good food and cold drinks.. allegedly. They unfortunately were not open when I stopped by on a Tuesday in the middle of the day.

- It's located near Tjader Acres.. like really, really close. This would be a perfect little warmup spot to get the arm goin' and get some food and liquid courage before tackling that amazing course.

- The baskets were Dynamic Veterans which are not my favorite but they are good baskets overall and considering this is basically a backyard course, it's refreshing to be able to throw at decent equipment.

- Ace run city. Nothing was over 250 feet if I recall correctly.

Cons:

- The layout is pretty basic/short. Literally just throw dead straight or a few left dogleg hyzer shots. You will be able to play this one in less than 20 minutes. Honestly, there's not much they could really do with this small piece of land.

- The baskets are literally either next to or in front of some of the teepad areas which is extremely awkward and dangerous if there's more than 2 groups playing within close proximity of each other.

- The teepads are just grass which is always going to be a con in my eyes. Also, no tee signs.. just 1x2's sticking up out of the ground.

- Most of the fairways were pretty tall which might've just been bad timing on my part. I seem to play courses when they've either been freshly mowed or haven't been mowed in weeks/months/years? and honestly this one wasn't too bad.

Other Thoughts:

This wasn't exactly the greatest course although it's extremely new and perhaps it will improve over time. As of right now, it's pretty much 9 baskets in someone's bar's backyard.

I really wish they were open when I went by because apparently they make some good grub and serve some good drinks. I was definitely hungry at the time and would've loved to be able to eat before playing TA nearby. That being said, if I happen to be in the area again I will attempt to stop by again to see if there's been any improvements / get myself some pizza.

In summation, this is pretty much a warmup ace run course that's only 7 minutes away from one of the best private courses I've played in Wisconsin. I'm writing this currently at 3:37AM because my heater is on the fritz and it's like 30 degrees in my house. Not sure why I decided to include that last part.
