Pros:
I was looking for a course that wasn't that long and near the highway as I'm getting over a back injury and didn't know how much I could throw and this one fit the bill. From the shorter red tees this one is mainly 200-300ft holes with a few palm trees to miss and OB in the form of a large pond and barbed wire fences around it.
Most of the time if you can throw a forehand and backhand hyzer 250ft(320 from the longs)you have a shot for birdie, and even very stiff and having not played in over a week I was able to shoot -8. Pretty beginner friendly but between all of the OB and deep and murky pond it's not without danger.
There is even one hole that is on a raised platform which was pretty cool and h common for a course like this.
Though not a huge property it has a good variety, and nice tee signs and little next tee arrows on most baskets.
Fun little play and totally different vibe for this part of Florida.
Multiple port a johns in decent shape is pretty cool for a small park like this.
Cons:
A couple of holes cross pretty close to one another, so I could see that being a tournament day issue or when it's busy.
Also, no benches which isn't a huge minus, but dealing with back issues it made me a little sad.
It's simple and straightforward which isn't bad at all, but too much one note to be much above a 3.
Other Thoughts:
Really pretty little course and the pond is very cool. I saw many large turtles and some sort of aquatic mammal like a beaver or something. Didn't get a good look but it was pretty cool.
I did have an odd lost disc scenario. On hole 8 I hit the pole off the tee and my Justice caught an edge and rolled toward the pond. I thought the tall grass might stop it, but it appears the water drops off suddenly and it was nowhere to be found.
