Pros:
Shadduck Park sits in a fairly new residential development so everything is new. The park has a children's play area, a picnic area and a tether ball stand. The rest of the park consists of a blanket of thick, plush lush grass.
The little course starts next to the play area and then plays in a circle. It's readily apparent that the entire budget for this course was eaten up by the tee signs. They are totally awesome and give more than enough information. But there are no tee pads, just grass. And the baskets are homemade, single chain, heavy duty and mostly ugly. They are so ugly, the teen vandal crews won't even touch them. They look like they came from the set of Mad Max or Waterworld, definitely something Apocalyptic.
The three mostly open holes are 255', 205' and 235'. There's not much challenge or variety or anything else here. The grass is very green and lush
Cons:
Shadduck is a course filled with cons.
Only three holes.
Horrific baskets.
No tee pads.
No challenge.
Flat and open.
No map.
No fun.
Other Thoughts:
I'm amazed that someone got permission from this neighborhood to install these unsightly baskets. The park and the surrounding community are upscale and newly minted. The good news is these baskets will be never be vandalized or bent to hell. They're too heavy duty to die. To ugly to marry. The bad news is this lovely park in this lovely neighborhood is stuck with them. Honestly, if I were on the community council here, I would vote to abolish them and I have a "I'd rather be disc golfing" license plate frame.
