No Time For Finifugality

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 3, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

A simplistic set of six holes on the north end of the City's park, Soaring Eagle is a nice spot for some short game practice and ace runs.

Tee signs are just the Udisc map printed onto a plastic sheet, but it's nice to have a number to gauge your shot on. Tees are marked with a 4x4 sunk into the ground. Baskets are blue MVP Black Holes in good shape.

The green of 3 is protected by a low branch, the left side of 4 is covered by trees, 5 has both a left and right route, and the left side of the tee of 6 is covered by a large tree trunk.

Cons:

Very RHBH/LHFH friendly. 3,4, and 6 all nearly force it, and it's a much easier shot on 5. Unfortunate for any other type of player, but the course is short enough it might just be good practice.

1 and 2 are both wide open air. Nothing going for them besides the possibility of an ace.

3 and 4 are bordered by a road on the right side. It's a very small town, but it's still possible to hit a car. The right line on 5 swings toward the playground. A mando left could solve this.

Other Thoughts:

There are two safari layouts on the orange app, but they also bring in even more road danger.

This is a fun, fast stop off I-35. Nothing impressive, no tough tests, but a decent little course. Just stay out of the roads.
