Pros:

Great course for DG practice and cool design. Cool trademark hole where you walk under the college sign to get to tee-pad whitch is right by sign and get to throw right next to highway, but watch out and don't throw your disc on the highway. :)

Cons:

I have no objections with the design of the course since I don't think the designer could have done any better with the limitations of area, and obstacles. Nothing super special about this course but, good course for amount of time it takes up.

Other Thoughts:

-Great thing about this course is that it takes up little time.
-Also try out Dankwart park while in Burlington.
-Nice bag hangers on the sign.
-Signs can be a little deceiving, but awlays throw the way the tee-pad faces since trees and obstacles have changed since signs were made.

Practice/Rec Course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 7, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Tee Signs, with map and distance
-Long distance shots
-Perfect for beginners/casual games with non players/practice/adding another course to your played list
-Navigation is easy, the course loops back around to the start
-Does have some long distance shots, and a couple shots from atop a small hill.
-Very close to Highway 34, so if you wanted to knock out a quick round.

Cons:

-No Teepads or teemarkers, It tells you there are two teepads per hole, even shows you the Red & Blue on the maps. But there is nothing telling you where they are. As far as where to tee off, just take your best guess and let'r fly.

-Depending on school hours and school functions, parking and/or playing here may be difficult.

Other Thoughts:

This course is too small to be too harsh on it. It's a small rec course. Pretty much straight forward, in an open field. There are a couple of small hills that you can tee off of, and to play around. There isn't a lot to this course, and didn't really have much of a fun factor for me.

This course is more for the students of the school and those that live nearby. I really wouldn't drive out of my way to play here. I just happened to be driving by when I recognized the school from DGCR. If you feel like just adding another notch in the belt, then it does play quickly and you'll be back on the road in no time.

Bare Bones 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 5, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

Well maintained course. Uses what little elevation available (mounds) fairly well. Course flow is pretty intuitive, a basic loop. Easy enough to take the family and kids for a round.

Cons:

Only 9 holes. No concrete tee pads. Sign is only thing around the tee area, no mark, no board, sometimes hard to figure out if you were supposed to throw on left or right side of tee sign (though specifically noted on hole 7). Not sure where the red tees are, as I couldn't find any mark or sign in vicinity where those were supposed to be. Damage to baskets 3 and 4, still playable, but it is notable. Drainage looks to be an issue on a few holes, as there looks to be some dried up mud in a few areas, but I can't verify as it has been dry for a week or so @ date of writing this review. I didn't see any water, restrooms, or trash cans. However, being on a college campus, the school isn't far off and is an option for students. Parking shouldn't be an issue, but since the college is expanding, you may need to walk across a parking lot to get to hole 1. Super wide open, almost everything is a fairway, though I would be nervous throwing on hole 3 with a parking lot full of vehicles.

Other Thoughts:

Hole 1: A line of trees along the right of the fairway, left side completely open.
Hole 2: On this hole you have the option of throwing through the gap between the trees just right of the tee box, or a left to right shot around the tree on the left.
Hole 3: Not sure if the sign is correct. Looks like they added a parking lot and moved the basket. Regardless, straight open shot, with an out of bounds parking lot to the right.
Hole 4: Long open hole with a blind pin placement behind a mound. Favorite hole on the course, blind pin placement and there are lots of fully grown trees behind the basket, only hole that almost makes you forget you next to a bunch of busy city streets.
Hole 5: Open hole, throwing elevated on top of a mound.
Hole 6: Tree directly in line with the basket, you have the option of going left to right, or right to left.
Hole 7: Throwing close to the intersection (you may have a few onlookers stopped at the stop lights), another blind pin caused by the mound that is front of you. Tee is behind the mound, so you have to throw over to get to the basket. Somebody has placed a temporary flag onto the basket which helps you see direction from tee box.
Hole 8: Simple open hole. No obstacles to worry about.
Hole 9: Elevated tee box next to the main sign for the college.

Overall, pretty basic course, not a lot of areas to get into trouble, though driving off 3 would make me nervous if the parking lot is full. Should be a lot of deuces available, so scores shouldn't be that high. Also, playing alongside busy roads and intersections will probably shy most people away. This course could use some concrete tee pads, locatable red tees, and a few more trees for obstacles to make the course harder.
Another note, I do think the rating for this course should not be reflective of the course designer, as I think he did a great job with what little was available. Of all the times I have been by the course, I have NEVER seen anybody playing it.
