Pros:
Stunning backdrop. I am an avid backpacker and the Sawtooth mountain range in Stanley is one of the most beautiful places in the state of Idaho. The baskets are disc catchers and in excellent condition. No chance of losing a disc.
Cons:
Poor course design. Very few obstacles. A couple trees and some hills. Tee pads are poorly marked or non-existent. Not challenging, unique or memorable (besides the mountain backdrop).
Other Thoughts:
1 star for the course. Bonus half star for the mountains. The backdrop alone makes this course worth playing...once. If you happen to be in the area and have 30 minutes to burn, play this course. I will probably never play the course again, even if I am in the area. It is disappointing, because Stanley has great wooded, meadows with creeks that would make superb disc golf courses. Why they made it in the public park on a barren hill, I will never know.
