Pros:
-The course has it's own secluded corner of the large sports spark.
-Longer holes (I don't think there is a hole under 275ft).
-Natural fairway/rough with prairie grass.
-Concrete tee pads.
-Nice flow between holes (I never felt lost or confused on where to go next).
Cons:
-Large willow trees and oak trees are more for surrounding beauty and not used as obstacles in the course (This is fine, but I feel that they could have used some of the huge trees for some interesting shots.
-Not really a beginner friendly course with the longer distances of each hole.
-Not really a technical course, open but fun for trying to throw longer shots.
Other Thoughts:
I was pleasantly surprised with this course. Sometimes a community 9 hole can be a field with some baskets, and that was my fear when I saw where they were putting this course. It actually is very well kept and can be pretty fun. The course get's a little repetitive with some of the straight long holes, but it's a chance to work on your long throws. It isn't anything to go out of your way to play, but if you are in the area and want to play a course that has longer holes than DeKalb, Kirkland and St. Charles, check out Sycamore. I will frequent this course because it is very close to my house.
