Pros:

The mixture of terrain and variety of shots that must be executed make this course great.

There are some really interesting shots on this course that take skill to execute well as well as some risky lines that can be taken in the woods and if executed can allow players to gain big advantages, but one misstep and you are scrambling to get a bogey.

The overall design flows well and with the new signage, it is easier to follow than previously.

The course comes back to the parking lot four times which means you also have bathroom access four times a round which is huge for when I am playing with lady friends.

The overall course has some major elevation changes and hole 7 is a beautiful example. Just wish the original position was kept as now it is easy for new people on the course to end up on hole 10 instead of 7 coming out of the woods.

The dual tees and alternating baskets is a great addition for the course.

The new concrete is nice, it was well poured which unlike other courses I have been to is great as I don't feel like I am running up or down hill on my run-up. Although the turf previously was installed better than most.

Cons:

Originally hole one long was a tough shot out of the woods, now it is just basic. taking over the original short position.

From #7, I put it over the fence. I didn't expect it, but then again I was use to playing the old layout which I was never close.

The long disc eating grass can be annoying, but playing smart will keep you out of it and if you can control your shot it really shouldn't come into play except on extremely windy days.

It would be nice to see some more trees planted in the open fairways which I can see they attempted, but it will be awhile before they become mature enough if they can get there to make any real impact.

Other Thoughts:

One of the hidden gems of East Michigan. Not quite as baller as Bald Mountain, but I would say it is on the level of Meyer Broadway in Three Rivers for sure.
