There is an excellent amount of shot variety. There are some mandos, some OB, a few wide open holes, some holes around trees, and some elevation change. The back 9 has most of the variety, with the front nine having more of the wide open shots.

You can play most holes as RHBH, but the forehand route is also a possibility on a handful of holes as well.

Some of the baskets are newer, with nice green and blue coloring (not sure what brand those are).

Signage- Some holes have good tee signs with good graphics, but other do not, so you're left to kind of guess where you're throwing to, unless you're playing with someone who has played the course before.
Also, (to my knowledge) there's not a main sign at the beginning of the course to help with navigation. The first time I played it I actually played to 16's basket from 15's tee and didn't figure that out until I got to 17's tee pad. Had to retrace my steps and figure it out.

Tee Pads- Most holes don't have a tee pad, just bare earth or grass. Some do have concrete ones that are good sized. If all 18 holes had those, it would make the course much nicer.

When I played this course the first time in December of 2017, holes 3-8 where surrounded by tall prairie grass with only 6-7 foot wide walking paths between holes. It was still in the same condition on 3-16-18. This makes for finding discs fairly difficult, and not much fun as there were also some thorny weeds/vines in a few places as well. If that section were mowed/maintained, it would be a lot better, even if it were just to have some fairways mowed and leave the tall grass as OB.

To go along with the signage, some of the distances that are listed on the signs and the DGCR app don't seem to be correct. Hole 7 is much longer that what the app says, and could almost be listed as a par 4.

16's basket placement. I'm ok with it being in the wooded area to the south of the open field, but where it is now, there's a very very small window to get within putting range on your drive or second shot. It's surrounded by many tall trees, so it's hard to access straight on, and if you're too close to the trees, going up and over is just as difficult. There is an alleyway that goes back in the trees 50-60 feet or so, and I think back there would be a better placement for the basket. Still has birdie potential, but still is a challenge for par if you have an errant shot.

Overall, it has a really good start to being a pretty good course. Putting in concrete tee pads on every hole, getting updated and better signage, and keeping holes 3-8 maintained will really help the quality of this course. My wife's grandmother lives 1/2 mile from the course, so it's easily accessible when we make a trip down to see her. Hopefully it's improved a little the next time I play it!

Great look to it with the mow of the fairways. Similar to a regular golf 'Links' course
Fun hole layout and a good walk.
Probably best comparable to Ozark, but more spread out.

Bring a trash bag for anything you might consume.
Navigation for first timers would be rough. Please note the tape on the baskets that points to the next, and the flyover video.
Wear pants because you will end up in the tall grass, suggest against playing alone.

We added tape to the baskets to point in the direction of the next tee box. Hole 1 is to the shorter basket straight ahead of you. Hole 2 tees from near the building and you throw around it. 6 is in the woods. 16 basket is in the woods just up and left about 40'. 13 is a blind tee throw right along the OB line.

Course was being mowed/maintained during play. Great to see it maintained..

Course was previously 9-10 holes, full 18 now with a bonus 19 driving from 2 tee box backwards to practice basket.

Pros:
Nice baskets.
Utilized a very small piece of land as optimally as possible.
Unique OB's set up - tall grass, martini fairway (Hole 1), mandos helped increase the fun factor.

No signage. I would not have known how to play this course if there wasn't a local telling me where to go. Even then, I'm not 100% sure I played it properly or have named the photos with the correct hole number.

Couple of holes have a tee box - that utilizes gravel as the tee area. I would prefer grass over gravel.

If I lived within 2 miles, I would play this course all the time for practice. It would help force various shots.

If you are padding your course numbers, this is worth playing.

If you are wanting to take new players out, if you ignore the OB, this could be a good course to take them too. Not too long, only 10 holes.
