Pros:

Beautiful setting, challenging, plenty of variety

Cons:

Missing signage, proximity to other park facilities, needs grooming

Other Thoughts:

I don't believe in giving 1.5s and 0.5s to courses that are laid out with sincerity and imagination, as this one clearly was. It needs work, but has potential. Some holes are too close to roads, baseball diamonds, picnic areas; this may have been unavoidable but on a busy day it would be a real problem. Missing signage makes some holes hard to find even with the online map. The real problem is the woods holes--they're twisting, undulating, and pretty long, with blind drives and some of THE WORST undergrowth I've ever had the misfortune to play in, plus they're riddled with saplings like a pachinko machine. The course seriously needs some volunteers to go in with chainsaws and brush cutters--advanced players should not be shooting sevens and losing multiple discs per round. Don't even think about playing this course without a spotter. Beginners shouldn't even attempt the woods holes, which is a shame because a town park course should at least partly be about brining people into the sport. On the plus side, the course is beautiful and several of the more open holes are both challenging and fun.
